INGLÉS: C1 ADVANCED (CAE) - WRITING - EXAMEN RESUELTO B

HOW TO LEAD PEOPLE INTO THE RIGHT PATH

These last few years I have noticed an increasing gap between youngsters and adults, it may be because of technology rapid progress or maybe it has always been this way, and we have just become more aware of this rift. But, the most important matter is to find a good way to approach them instead of looking for culprits, which is pointless and a waste of time.

The easiest way to influence young people is by establishing a set of rules and punishments from breaking them that enforce values which we think are the correct ones. This method may be the most effortless way, but, it can cause severe backlash due to a simple reason, youngsters will always love breaking the rules, this stands true now, in the future and the past; it doesn't matter the country or the culture. The situation can go pretty badly as these rebellious kids are very likely going to inspire others to do the same.

There is a better, but harder, way to solve this issue, and that is inspiring them by setting an example. The same way disobedient brats inspire other kids to follow their example, we can influence them but in another way. This approach is much more difficult because it puts the pressure on the adults instead of on the kids, but, we must endure and accept it as one of our responsibilities.

So, to conclude, even though establishing rules is the most comfortable way to handle things, it can turn against us very easily due to the tendency of young people to oppose them. The most responsible measure that we can take is behaving the way we think our youngsters should do, even if it is burdensome for us doing it.

PROGRAM REPORT FROM ANDRES DG

INTRODUCTION

The objective of this document is to evaluate the study and work program organized by Solar City in New York for three weeks (01/0619 - 21/06/19).

SUMMARY

Even though this experience was interesting and have helped me to progress in my professional field, I think that, because of its shortness and the way it structured, the program felt somewhat lacking.

THE FIRST WEEK

In the beginning, we were given an introductory explanation about the internal functioning of the company, which was interesting. The problem with this is that it took an entire week of the program when its importance in the following weeks is minimum. Also, it won't be of any help for my personal development as each company operates in a completely different way.

THE THEORETICAL PART

During the next ten days, we were explained the state-of-the-art of the renewable energy sector by the engineers of the company: the lastest breakthroughs, new design methods and the current state of the legislation in the USA.  This was very helpful due to the lack of available public information about these topics.

VISITING INSTALLATIONS

For the last four days, we accompanied the workers from the technical department to many projects around the city. The issue was that because of the limited time we couldn't study any project in detail or at a more developed stage.

SUGGESTIONS

The introduction should be way shorter due to its lack of interest. Also, I think that the last part should be focused on one or two projects at most so it can be a richer experience.
